Tone of Life Bell Plates are produced in the range of 4 octaves (C2 – C5). They are inspired by bells used in many orthodox churches.
Depending on the mallet you use when playing, you can achieve different volume and sound quality, from hard to soft. One thing that separates this instrument from all the other instruments we use in Sound Therapy, like Gongs or Singing Bowls are the clear overtones. Each plate is tuned to one pure octave overtone.
The richest in sound and character are the C3 to C5 octave, with endless harmonics directly touching our physical, emotional and mental bodies.
Because of the perfect tuning, our Bell Plates can be a great accompaniment to any other tuned instrument or played separately keeping a tuned angelic melody for the Sound Experience.
The Bell Plates are made from high quality bronze with precision profesional machinery.
Tone of Life Plate Bells are tuned to A=440Hz. We can also make other tuning A=432Hz or A=443Hz at an additional cost.
Bell Plates are easy to travel with. You can purchase any tone and/or octave according to what you want to play. We also offer custom made Stands and Mallets.
Tone of Life Bronze Bell Plates will oxidise with time. This is a natural process, it will not influence the sound. It will only change the appearance, making the plate look more ancient. Cleaning product is provided with the purchase to keep them clean and reduce the rusting process.
