Johannes Heimrath
Master/ Gong Maker of all Tone of Life Gongs made in Sona workshop, scholar of composition,
music ethnology, and Early Music at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg in 1971, was
involved in the dawn of Music & Sound Therapy exploring the healing effects of sound and
music in therapy.

I ordered Stardust about a month ago before I knew Tom Soltron and Abbie were coming over from Poland to Chagford of all places. I didn’t know I would be taking home the Stardust gong from the workshop, so happy to know she has so much experience and has worked with such pure intentions. This morning I introduced Stardust to my Symphonic and they played beautifully together. Thank you to the whole Tone of Life team for creating such amazing instruments.
I always dreamed of having my gong sounding in my house, but there was never a favorable circumstance. However, when I saw how beautiful and charming this gong is, my desire to own it was very fast and easily turned into reality. A few days later I received a priceless parcel. Dream Gong’s voice is sweet, reminds me of the sun filling the drops of morning dew, rain of falling stars on a warm summer night… It’s hard to imagine anything more pleasant…
The Dance Gong, very powerful and deep, with great sustain for such a small gong. I will be recommending this design to my customers that need small gongs with strong sound.
Astonishingly beautiful and the feedback is great from clients. It is the head of the orchestra:) My 60 inch has a bit of serious competition. I work from two places and have one in each and deliberately chose the 42 Cosmo as it felt like it played like a much larger gong.It really shifts some deep stuff for people but in a very accepting and loving way. I am so impressed with your gongs which seem to me to be in a class of their own. I will be ordering a dance gong shortly and then who knows…
It is a rather small gong, but has an explosive, hot sound that awakens every cell in your body to energy and vitality. Perfect together with breath of fire and brimhanaexcercises.
The Fire Gong you chose is amazing. I have been playing it now for an hour and am astonished by how rich it is in narratives and so beautifully sonorous. It has way surpassed my expectations. . My heart is singing!

The Water gong arrived on Tuesday. It’s fabulous! Full of low tones but still symphonic in nature. It made my Sacral Chakra ‘buzz’! Very unusual sensation. It also has a lovely bass drone which is very noticeable the further away from the gong you are.
I’ve decided to give it a name – ‘Asterope’. This is the name of the star in the Pleiades that I am most drawn to. And the first gong I have named!
This water gong (36″) is a voyage of discovery for me; an enigmatic delight. My relationships with gongs until now have only partially prepared me. The vibrations are thick and intense, strong and polyrhythmic. The voices are soft and spherical, expansive and all-enveloping. The dimensions travelled are fathomless, immeasurable. This gong has the power of kindness, the virtue of the gentle-hearted. It does not seek to dominate or to eclipse, but rather to support, to nourish. Its movements are tidal…. subtle and yet massive. It is a doorway for the player into the mysteries of the feminine (just leave your shoes and your ego at the door).
